CAGE SETUP
· Hot side of cage 95 at the hottest time of the day.

· Use under the tank heat (UTH) only. A heating pad or heat tape works best controlled by a thermostat or rheostat.

· DO NOT USE LIGHT directly shining on the gecko for heat. Leopard geckos are nocturnal and do not sit in direct light naturally. This will stress them out and possibly cause them to not eat and/or to stay hidden most of the time.

CAGE SUBSTRATES
· Natural tile cut at Lowes or Home Depot

· Paper towels

· Newspaper

· Do not use loose substrates such as sand, coconut shell grindings, etc…. Leopard geckos will ingest the substrate as they try to catch their prey. This can cause impaction which can lead to death.

HIDES
· Dry hide: the gecko will sleep and chill out in this area.

· Humid hide: Leopard geckos will use these to aid in shedding, sleep in, and lay eggs.

o Recommend using coconut fiber for the humid hide substrate

FOOD
· Crickets: gut load with sliced potatoes, carrots, apples, oranges, bananas.

· Dubia Roaches: gut load with roach chow, carrots, potatoes, oranges, bananas.

· Superworms/mealworms: gut load with potatoes, carrots, apples, oranges, banana peels.

· Wax worms as treats only

VITAMIN SCHEDULE
· C = Calcium without vitamin D3 – in dish 24x7

· D3 = Calcium w/D3 dusted on feeders twice a month

· M = Multi-Vitamins dusted on feeders once a week

SANITATION SCHEDULE
· Change water daily

· Remove feces daily

· Disinfect cage mont
